Duran Duran & Chic: Live In Brooklyn NYC

Duran Duran
With Nile Rodgers & Chic.
Barclays Center. Brooklyn NYC.

Early into a show that was already off to a thundering start, DD
were joined by Kiesza, who provided a knockout live vocal to her guest track
"Last Night In The City" from the band's most recent album Paper Gods.

Tribute was paid to David Bowie.
DD worked a piece of "Space Oddity" into
their classic "Planet Earth" to thunderous applause.

The legendary Nile Rodgers, whose band Chic opened
the show, joined the band for "Notorious" and "Pressure Off".

Another guest whose voice appears on the most recent
Duran Duran album was brought out later in the evening.
Lindsay Lohan made an surprise appearance, providing vocals
and some hip-shaking dance steps to the upbeat "Danceophobia".

Nile Rodgers And Chic were not so much an opening act but
the first half of a double bill of high-energy dance music. If there
was any question why Mr. Rodgers is the legend that he is, the answer
lay woven within the band's set of classics that spanned five decades.

A highlight of the evening for me was
spending some time with my friend Lorie and
her crew before and after the show. Needless to say,
everyone was happy with what they saw and heard.
